Opening to the public just before Christmas in 2011 was truly a gift to the town of Corner Brook. Located in the newly constructed City Hall, the two level library has a lot to offer! From design to finish Ven-Rez was involved in this project with Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries, and were fortunate enough to provide all of the furniture in this library. From circ desks to kinder boxes, lounge seating to shelving. With Metallic shelving throughout the library, there’s more than just a floor separating the two distinct adult and youth sections. Warm Burnished Cherry laminate and black vinyl and fabric seating meshed well together for the adults, and the youth get to enjoy an array of primary and fluorescent colours on the top floor. Funky but modest, Corner Brook certainly raised the bar for Newfoundland libraries! The Grand Opening for this location was held on July 30th, 2012!
